Section 10-B2229. RETENTION OF HOME

    2229.1The owner shall be allowed the option of retaining his or her dwelling except in areas where the relocation of the building would be inconsistent with the planned urban development.

     

    2229.2The owner of improvements or appurtenances on lands being acquired shall be allowed the option of retaining his or her improvements or appurtenances at a retention value predetermined by the District by comparison with improvements sold on the market. The predetermined value shall be made prior to the initiation of negotiations.

     

    2229.3The procedures and payments for purposes of §2229.2 shall conform to those set forth in FHWA PPM 80-5, paragraph 1(d), and IM 80-1071, §24(f).
