Section 10-B2710. MINOR STREETS

2710.1The dedication of a minor street not less than fifty-five feet (55 ft.) wide with building restriction lines at least ten feet (10 ft.) back of the property lines may be accepted by the Mayor when the minor street is desirable and not adverse to the public interest; Provided, that the following occurs:
(a)The distance between streets shall be sufficient to allow for two (2) tiers of lots of a size not less than provided as a minimum by the Zoning Regulations of the District of Columbia;
(b)The minor street shall be located so as to provide for the reasonable continuation of the alignment and of streets of adjoining subdivision or their proper projection when adjoining property is subdivided in accordance with the judgment of the Surveyor; and
(c)When building restriction lines are required, the space between the lines and the street lines shall be subject to the same regulations and rights of the District of Columbia as is the space between building restriction lines and street lines on Highway Plan Streets as set forth in §2709.2.
