Section 10-B2812. FIELD NOTES

    2812.1The field notes shall be color coded as in the system in use by the Office of the Surveyor.

     

    2812.2The Registered Land Surveyor shall submit to the Office of the Surveyor the original field notes with a full size color copy of the notes for every survey and wall examination made pursuant to this chapter.

     

    2812.3The originals shall be on eight and one-half by eleven inch (81/2 in. x 11 in.) sheets of a white paper base, fifty percent (50%) rag content, twenty-four pound (24 lb.) stock having a water resistant surface with three (3) hole standard punched centers of four and one-quarter by four and one-quarter inches (41/4 in. x 41/4 in.).

     

    2812.4The color copy required by §2812.2 shall be machine made on a sheet being the same size required for the original and being a two (2) mil thickness, non-tear white coated polyester material with three (3) holes standard punched centers of four and one-quarter by four and one-quarter inches (41/4 in. x 41/4 in.).

     

    2812.5Each sheet of notes shall be numbered, legible and in the English language.

     

    2812.6A cover sheet shall accompany the field notes to reflect the type, location, field party chief, date, and name of the Land Surveyor with his or her certification and signature that the notes comply with this chapter.

     

    2812.7The field notes shall contain, as a minimum, the following information:

     

    (a)A sketch of the site, including the location and character of the points found and used for control of the survey work;

     

    (b)The amount of variation or discrepancy found in points recovered, in terms of hundredths of a foot east-west; north-south; southerly or westerly, etc.;

     

    (c)Descriptions and locations of points set and any newly established observed angles;

     

    (d)Identification of previously observed angles and distance measurements that were held in performing the work;

     

    (e)Indication of survey technique used, such as the following:

     

    (1)Tape and transit;

     

    (2)EDM;

     

    (3)Tape only; and

     

    (4)Other (specify);

     

    (f)Location of offset lines with respect to the property line; and

     

    (g)The identity of the lot(s) or parcel(s) shown on the sketch.
