Section 10-B2901. SCHEDULE OF FEES

2901.1The schedule of fees shall include the following two (2) categories:
(a)Category A - Services for which specific charges are proposed; and
(b)Category B - Services for which charges will be calculated at the time the work is done based on an hourly rate. The hourly rates are as follows:
(1)
Field work
$71.00 per hour;
(2)
Drafting
$19.00 per hour; and
(3)
Computing
$28.99 per hour.
2901.2The following fees for services shall apply to the following categories:
(a)Boundary surveys - All services are Category "B":
(1)For researching, surveying property boundaries to mark, preparation and recording of plat on same request;
(2)For researching, surveying property boundaries to mark in outline of more than one lot on same request;
(3)For researching, surveying property boundaries to mark groups of lots not adjoining, preparation and recording of plat; and
(4)For researching, surveying property boundaries to mark irregular shaped lots or any parcel of land not contained in a record subdivision, preparation and recording of plat;
(b)Building plats:
For preparation of plat required by D.C. Building Regulations to obtain building permits:
(1)
Up to three usual - shaped contiguous lots
$22.00 per plat;
(2)
Usual - shaped contiguous lots in excess of three adjoining lots
$22.00 per lot plus $11.00 per each additional lot; and
(3)
For unusual - shaped lots or large size tracts of land
$22.00 per hour but less than the fee for usual - shaped lots;
(c)Certified copies of records:
Certification of office records, prints,
photostats, etc. $15.00;
(d)Change of highway plan:
Amendment to the permanent system of highways (D.C. Code §7-122):
(1)
For research, computation, preparation of plat circulation to District departments for department reports
$1,435.00;
and
(2)
For public hearing and recording of plat
$900.00;
(e)Compilation plats (Compilation of walls):
For preparation of plat showing location of building according to office records:
Each Building $45.00;
(f)Computations and descriptions:
For research, computation, preparation and recording of plat for the following:
(1)
Up to three usual - shaped contiguous sites and
$130.00 per plat;
(2)
Usual - shaped contiguous sites in excess of three
$130.00 per plat plus $45.00 per additional site.
(3)
Irregular - shaped sites
$45.00 per hour but not less than the fee for usual-shaped lot;
(4)
Analysis of deed description (Deed analysis)
$6.00
(5)
Preparing written metes and bounds: Description and
$50.00;
(6)
Property line analysis statement:
(A)
Issuance of written statement and
$80.00;
(B)
Site visit - no statement
$50.00;
(g)Establishment or abandonment or easements:
Establish or abandon $178.00
(h)Miscellaneous plat
For preparation, circulation, and recordation of plat in Category
connection with request for variance to subdivision
regulations and other miscellaneous plats Category"B";
(i)Prints from document or from microfilm:
(1)
Normal service
$3.00;
(2)
If plat must be obtained from archival storage
$30.00 per document plus $3.00 per print;
(3)
Unbound volume storage
$6.00 per document plus $3.00 per print; and
(4)
Unusually large prints
$6.00;
(j)Private surveyors plat:
(1)
Recording and
$75.00 per sheet;
(2)
Filing wall examination report
$3.00 per site;
(k)Recordation of private surveyor condominium plats:
(1)
Recording of plats and plans
$300.00 plus $15.00 per sheet for initial recordation;
(2)
Recording amended plat or plans
$150.00plus$15.00 for each amended sheet;
(3)
Minor correction of the plat or plans
$75.00 plus $15.00 for each corrected sheet; and
(4)
Cancellation of recorded condominium
$75.00;
(l)Registration of land surveyors:
(1)
Application for registration
$70.00;
(2)
Examination
$35.00;
(3)
Retake of examination
$30.00;
(4)
Renewal of certification
$25.00;
(5)
Late renewal of certification and
$75.00;
(6)
Reinstatement after expiration of the late renewal period

(m)Street and alley closings or revisions:
(1)
Closing application:
(A)
Initial processing stage

(B)
Final processing stage

(2)
Application revision:

Prior to completion of agency reviews and

(3)
Dedication only of street and alley

(n)Subdivision of land:
Plats for:
(1)
Up to three usual - shaped continguous lots
$130.00 per plat;
(2)
Usual - shaded contiguous lots in excess of three
$130.00 per lot plus 45.00 per each additional lot in excess of three;
(3)
For irregular - shaped lots
$45.00 per hour per plat plus $20.00 per lot but not less than the fee for usual - shaped lots.
(4)
Recordation
$20.00;
(5)
Redrawing plat of subdivision
$50.00;and
(6)
Correcting or amending plat or subdivision prior to recordation
$18.00;
(o)Surveys:
All types except wall examinations
$195.00plus$90.00 per hour with a minimum of two hours charged;
(p)Transfer of jurisdiction: $322.00;
$45.00 each building;
and
(q)Wall compilation:
$140.00 plus $90.00 per hour. An additional penalty charge will be assessed for each trip to the job site when the job is not ready.
(r)Wall examination:
2901.3Service descriptions under current fee schedule which are not being continued shall be as follows:
(a)Subdivision (condominium);
(b)Topographical; and
(c)Radius plats.
2901.4A minimum of one hundred forty dollars ($140.00) shall be charged prior to undertaking the wall examination. There shall be an adjustment of ninety dollars ($90.00) per hour in obtaining the final fee for the service.
2901.5No fee shall be charged for District government ordered services.
2901.6Fee charges shall apply to the U.S. Government and foreign governments.
