Section 10-B5804. EXPIRATION OF SECURITY DEPOSIT ASSISTANCE; EXTENSION

    5804.1If security deposit assistance is approved and the applicant fails to utilize the security deposit assistance within 90 days after the applicant's receipt of notification of approval, the approval shall expire.

     

    5804.2Prior to the expiration of the 90-day period, an applicant may file an application for extension of the approval, on a form prescribed by the Mayor. The application for extension shall:

     

    (a)State the reason for requesting an extension;

     

    (b)Include a statement from the applicant, under oath, that there has been no material change in the applicant's financial condition or, if a material change has occurred, describe the change;

     

    (c)Include a statement by the applicant, under oath, that there has been no material change in the terms of the proposed lease or, if a material change has occurred, describe the change; and

     

    (d)If the application for extension concerns a lease other than the lease contained in the application, include a copy of the new lease.

     

    5804.3The Mayor may grant an extension of the funding approval for a period of up to 60 days.

     

    5804.4The decision whether to grant or deny a request for extension is in the sole discretion of the Mayor.
