Section 11-1733. GROUND FLOOR AREAS REQUIRED TO BE DEVOTED TO PREFERRED USES (DD/MVT)

1733.1The provisions of this Section shall apply to each building with frontage on K Street in Squares 451, 483, 484, 484W, 515, or 516; and to each building with frontage on 5th Street in Squares 483, 484, 515, or 516.
1733.2Each building that faces or abuts a street segment identified in § 1732.1 shall devote not less than fifty percent (50%) of the gross floor area of the ground floor ("dedicated space") to uses listed in §§ 1732.2, 1732.3, or 1732.4, if permitted by those subsections at its location, except that the cumulative gross floor area of bank, loan office, financial institution or general office uses, shall occupy no more than thirty percent (30%) of the gross floor area of the dedicated space.
