Section 11-766. THEATER CRITERIA (C-5 (PAD))

766.1The Board of Zoning Adjustment may authorize within a C-5 (PAD) District an increase in bulk as specified in § 762.4 for any new building containing a legitimate theater or similar performing arts facility.
766.2The Board may also prescribe appropriate conditions and safeguards to ensure the achievement of good design objectives and, in determining the precise extent of the increase permitted, the Board shall require that the requirements of this section be met.
766.3The legitimate theater or similar performing arts facility shall be of a size and type appropriate for the C-5 (PAD) District.
766.4Adequate supporting facilities associated with the operation of a legitimate theater or similar performing arts facility, such as rehearsal areas, studios, or storage space, shall be provided.
766.5Open spaces, open arcades, through square connections, enclosed pedestrian spaces, mass transit, and vehicular circulation shall be adequate to accommodate the circulation of pedestrians or vehicles attracted by the facilities.
