Section 15-124. SUBPOENAS

    124.1Subpoenas for the attendance of witnesses may be issued by a member of the Commission or a member of the Staff designated by the Commission, upon application in writing.

     

    124.2Subpoenas for the production of books, records, papers, or other documents may be issued by the Commission upon application in writing.

     

    124.3Subpoenas issued pursuant to §124.2 shall be under the seal of the Commission, upon a form approved and provided by the Commission, and shall so describe the document ordered to be produced as to permit ready identification.

     

    124.4A subpoena may be served in the same manner and by any person authorized by the Civil Rules of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

     

    124.5If service of a subpoena is by a United States Marshal or his or her deputy, that service shall be evidenced by his or her return thereon.

     

    124.6If service is made by any other person, that person shall note the manner, place, and time of service, and shall return the affidavit on or with the original copy of the subpoena.
