Section 16-1515. DEPOSITIONS

1515.1A party may take a deposition only with permission from the Office of Adjudication.
1515.2The Office of Adjudication shall grant permission to take a deposition only where the information sought is not otherwise available or the Office of Adjudication determines that justice will be served only if the party is allowed to take the deposition.
1515.3When the Office of Adjudication grants permission to depose, it shall prescribe the procedures governing each deposition. These procedures shall set forth at least the following:
(a)Procedures for giving notices of the deposition;
(b)Procedures for examination and cross-examination of witnesses; and
(c)Limitations on the scope of the examination.
1515.4Depositions shall be taken before a person authorized to administer oaths.
1515.5Depositions may be recorded by non-stenographic means, subject to any rules prescribed by the Office of Adjudication under §1521, to assure the accuracy of the record.
