Section 17-2121. SERVICE OF NOTICE

    2121.1Each notice issued under § 2120 shall be served upon the applicant or security officer in the manner prescribed in this section.

     

    2121.2Notice shall be deemed to have been served upon the person to whom it is directed when a copy of it has been served by one of the following means:

     

    (a)Personally delivering a copy to the person named in the notice;

     

    (b)Leaving a copy at the address stated on the certification or application with a person over sixteen (16) years of age who is employed at or is a resident of that address; or

     

    (c)Mailing a copy by certified mail, postage prepaid, to the address stated on the certification or application, which is not returned undelivered by the postal authorities, except as provided in § 2121.3.

     

    2121.3If a notice mailed as authorized by § 2121.2(c) is returned by the postal authorities because the addressee refused to accept delivery, it shall be deemed to have been served on the addressee on the date of that refusal.
