Section 17-2204. COAL DEALERS' AGENTS

    2204.1Each person selling coal as an agent shall secure a license for each year or part of a year.

     

    2204.2No license shall be issued to any person to sell coal as an agent except as the agent of a licensed coal dealer.

     

    2204.3Each application shall contain the following information:

     

    (a)The name and address of applicant;

     

    (b)The name and address of dealer for whom the applicant will sell coal, with the number of that dealer's license;

     

    (c)The length of time applicant has been selling coal, if any;

     

    (d)The names and addresses of employers for the past five (5) years;

     

    (e)Crimes of which the applicant has been convicted, if any;

     

    (f)Whether the applicant has ever secured a license from any other District department and which department;

     

    (g)The names and addresses of at least three (3) references;

     

    (h)A statement from the dealer setting forth that the applicant is the dealer's authorized agent; and

     

    (i)Any other information required by the Mayor.

     

    2204.4Each application for a license as agent to sell coal shall be made on a form prescribed by the Mayor.

     

    2204.5Each application shall be sworn to before an officer authorized to administer oaths.
