Section 17-2918. STORAGE AREAS FOR FOOD, BEDDING, AND REFUSE

2918.1Food and bedding shall be stored in an area separate from animal housing and shall be stored off the floor on pallets, racks, or carts.
2918.2Food storage areas shall be physically separated refuse areas.
2918.3Temperatures in the storage rooms shall be the ambient temperature. Refrigerated storage shall be available for perishable items.
2918.4The facility shall contain separate storage facilities for dead animals. Carcasses shall be kept below forty-five degrees Fahrenheit (45° F.) to reduce putrefaction, and noxious materials shall be covered or packaged.
