Section 17-3725. SERVICE AND PRICING POLICY

    3725.1The owner or manager of each salon or shop shall post and maintain signs and/or provide written service and price lists stating the price or range of prices for each category of services rendered to the public.

     

    3725.2Each salon or shop shall post signs and/or price lists in English, which are clearly legible, and readable from each patron's chair at all times. Secondary signs and price lists in languages other than English are permitted, provided that the prices and services listed on the English language and non-English language signs and price lists are identical.

     

    3725.3No licensee shall refuse to serve any patron based upon the patron's race, color, hair texture, or other discriminatory category, or for reasons prohibited by the Human Rights Act of 1977, effective December 13, 1977 (D.C. Law 2-38; D.C. Official Code 2-1401.01 et seq.) (2001), as amended, and any other District of Columbia or United States Federal Government anti-discrimination rule, regulation, or Act.
