Section 17-8105. RENEWALS, REINSTATEMENTS, AND REACTIVATIONS OF POLYSOMNOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGIST LICENSES

    8105.1An applicant for renewal of a polysomnographic technologist license shall:

     

    (a) Complete a minimum of twenty (20) continuing education credits

      during the two (2) year period preceding the date the license expires;

     

    (b)  Attest to completion of the required continuing education credits on the

     renewal application form; and

     

    (c)  Be subject to a random audit. 

     

    8105.2To qualify to reactivate a polysomnographic technologist license, a person in inactive status within the meaning of § 511 of the Act, D.C. Official Code § 3-1205.11 (2001) shall:

     

    (a) Submit an application to reactivate the license;

     

    (b) Submit proof pursuant to § 8105.7 of having completed twenty (20) hours of approved continuing education credits within the two (2) year period preceding the date of the application for reactivation of that applicant’s license and an additional ten (10) hours of approved continuing education credit for each additional year that the applicant was in inactive status beginning with the third year;

     

    (c) Pay the required reactivation fee; and

     

    (d)  Submit a completed criminal background check in accordance with 17 DCMR § 8501.

     

     

    8105.3To qualify for reinstatement of a license, an applicant for reinstatement shall:

     

    (a) Submit an application to reinstate the license;

     

    (b) Submit proof pursuant to § 8105.7 of having completed twenty (20) hours of approved continuing education credits within the two (2) year period preceding the date of the application for reinstatement of that applicant’s license and an additional ten (10) hours of approved continuing education credit for each additional year that the applicant was in an inactive status beginning with the third year;

     

    (c) Pay the required reinstatement fee; and

     

    (d)  Submit a completed criminal background check in accordance with 17 DCMR § 8501.
