Section 18-2206. STARTING, STOPPING, AND BACKING

    2206.1No person shall start a vehicle which is stopped, standing, or parked unless and until the movement can be made with reasonable safety.

     

    2206.2No person shall stop or suddenly decrease the speed of a vehicle without first giving an appropriate signal in the manner provided in this chapter to the driver of any vehicle immediately to the rear when there is opportunity to give such signal.

     

    2206.3The driver of a vehicle shall not back the vehicle unless the backing movement can be made with reasonable safety and without interfering with other traffic.
