Section 18-2419. MUNICIPAL CENTER PARKING RESTRICTIONS

2419.1No motor vehicle, either public or private, shall be left standing or parked, whether attended or unattended, in any place or space in the Municipal Center area described in this section, except in a place or space assigned to the vehicle, and when bearing an identification sticker or permit issued by the Mayor or his or her designee.
2419.2The provisions of this section shall be applicable to the following Municipal Center parking areas:
(a)East Parking Plaza of the East Administration Building;
(b)Official Parking Area 2, also known as the Detective Bureau Parking Lot, located on Square 490 immediately west of the East Administration Building;
(c)Official Parking Area 3, located on Square 490 immediately south of Area 2;
(d)Official Parking Area 6, located on Square 491 immediately in the rear of and adjacent to the premises known as 499 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.; and
(e)Official Parking Area 7, located on Square 491 at the Southwest corner of John Marshall Place and C Street, N.W. except that official District-owned vehicles may be parked in this area irrespective of the identification sticker and permit provisions of this section.
2419.3No motor vehicle, either public or private, shall be left standing or parked, whether attended or unattended, in any basement parking area of the East Administration Building without the express permission of the Mayor or his or her designee.
2419.4Any person who violates the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not more than twenty-five dollars ($25) or imprisonment for not more than ten (10) days.
