Chapter 19-27. D.C. SPORTS COMMISSION: BY-LAWS |
Section 19-2704. OFFICERS

2704.1The officers of the Board shall consist of a Chairperson, a Vice-Chairperson, a Secretary, and such other officers as the Board shall from time to time appoint.
2704.2Officers of the Board shall be elected from among the members of the Board, except that the Executive Director of the Commission shall serve as Secretary to the Board.
2704.3Officers shall be elected by a majority of the members and shall hold office at the pleasure of the Board.
2704.4Any member may hold more than one office, except that no one member shall simultaneously hold the offices of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson.
2704.5The Chairperson shall preside at the meetings of the Board, shall assure that members are advised on all significant matters of Commission business, shall act as principal spokesperson and representative of the Commission, and shall have such other powers and duties as may be prescribed by the Board or the By-Laws.
2704.6The Vice-Chairperson shall preside at the meetings of the Board at which the Chairperson is absent and in the absence of the Chairperson shall have the powers, duties and responsibilities of the Chairperson.
