Section 19-4339. CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS WITH ARCHITECT-ENGINEER FIRMS

4339.1Except as provided in Section 4339.2, the CCO shall not award a contract for the construction of a project to the firm that designed the project or its subsidiaries or affiliates without the prior written approval of the Procurement Executive.
4339.2If a proposed construction contract will use a design build method of construction, the CCO may award the construction contract to an affiliate of the architect- engineer firm that designed the project without prior approval of the Procurement executive.
