Section 21-1900. PURPOSE AND SCOPE

1900.1The purpose of this chapter is to provide for accurate, consistent and reproducible water quality monitoring data for decisionmaking purposes. This chapter shall apply to ambient surface and ground water quality monitoring, special monitoring studies, compliance monitoring, monitoring required as a part of a permit, or to modify a permit, and self-monitoring of discharges.

1900.2If any provision of this chapter, or the application of any provision of this chapter to any person or circumstance, is held invalid in a court of law, the remainder of the rules of this chapter and its application to any other persons or circumstances shall not be affected.
