Section 21-5204. LEAVES, HOLIDAYS AND OTHER ABSENCES

5204.1The rate of accrual of annual and sick leave will be determined by the Board.
5204.2The use and carry-over of annual and sick leave will be determined by the General Manager or his designee.
5204.3The Board of Directors of the Authority will determine the number of holidays that are granted to employees each year. The General Manager will establish the schedule of holidays and shall determine the leave year.
5204.4The Authority recognizes the following types of un-accrued leave that may be granted to eligible employees in qualifying circumstances:
(a)Leave of Absence Without Pay.
(b)Federal and District of Columbia Family and Medical Leave.
(c)Jury Duty Leave of Absence.
(d)Military Leave of Absence.
(e)Administrative Leave.
(f)Bereavement Leave.
(g)Leave approved by the Board of Directors.
