    720.1The fees for licensing shall be determined by the Mayor.

     

    720.2Each business and each vehicle shall be separately licensed.

     

    720.3The Mayor shall determine the fee to be paid to deposit each ton of solid waste at a waste-handling facility.

     

    720.4The fee shall be paid by each licensed solid waste collector and other solid waste disposers unless, upon written application, the Mayor waives the fee of a solid waste disposer.

     

    720.5  Beginning on September 25, 2011, the applicable fee for the disposal of construction and demolition debris at the waste-handling facilities shall be seventy-one dollars ($71) for each ton disposed; provided, that a minimum fee of thirty-five dollars and fifty cents ($35.50) shall be imposed on each load weighing one thousand pounds (1,000 lbs.) or less. 

     

    720.6The applicable fees for the disposal of vehicle tires at the waste-handling facilities shall be one hundred six dollars and fifty-nine cents ($106.59) for each ton disposed; Provided, that a fee of twenty-six dollars and sixty-four cents ($26.64) shall be imposed on each load weighing five hundred pounds (500 lbs.) or less.

     

    720.7The applicable fees for the disposal of commodities included in the District's solid waste reduction and recycling program at the waste-handling facilities shall be thirty-one dollars and fifty-nine cents ($31.59) for each ton disposed; Provided, that a minimum fee of seven dollars and eighty-nine cents ($7.89) shall be imposed on each load weighing five hundred pounds (500 lbs.) or less.

     

    720.8Beginning on September 25, 2011, the applicable fee for the disposal of each ton of solid waste at the waste-handling facilities, excluding those wastes specified in § 720.5, 720.6, and 720.7, shall be fifty dollars ($50) for each ton disposed; provided, that a minimum fee of twenty-five dollars ($25) shall be imposed on each load weighing one thousand pounds (1,000 lbs.) or less. 

     

    720.9The waste reduction and recycling surcharge shall be one dollar ($ 1.00) for each ton of solid waste disposed of at the waste-handling facilities.

     

    720.10Repealed

     

    720.11Beginning on April 1, 2013, the applicable fee for the disposal of recyclable food waste at the waste-handling facilities shall be sixty-two dollars and fifty-two cents  ($62.52) for each ton disposed; provided, that a minimum fee of thirty-one dollars and twenty-six cents ($31.26) shall be imposed on each load weighing one thousand pounds (1,000 1bs.) or less.
