Section 22-B2809. POSTANESTHETIC RECOVERY ROOM (PAR)

2809.1In each pediatric trauma care facility, the postanesthetic recovery room (PAR), which may be the Surgical Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), shall be staffed and equipped as follows:
(a)Registered nurses and other essential personnel twenty-four (24) hours per day;
(b)Equipment for the continuous monitoring of temperature, hemodynamics, and gas exchange;
(c)Equipment for the continuous monitoring of intracranial pressure;
(d)Pulse oximetry; and
(e)Thermal control.
