Section 24-601. INSURANCE

601.1Prior to issuance of a license, an applicant for a parking facility license or a valet parking license shall furnish to the Director a certificate of insurance, issued by an insurer authorized to do business in the District, evidencing umbrella coverage of a minimum of two million dollars ($2,000,000).
601.2Each licensee shall give, in writing, advance notice to the Director prior to the cancellation or lapse of the policy. The licensee shall maintain the insurance required under this chapter in full force and effect for the duration of the license period.
601.3Violation of this section shall be grounds for the Director to suspend or revoke the license.
