Section 24-820. FOOD VENDORS: SALE OF FOOD ITEMS

    820.1The provisions of §§820 through 824 shall apply during the inaugural period.

     

    820.2Except as provided in §§820.4 and 820.5, the sale of fruit, food, lunches, candy, tobacco, drinks, and similar items in any of the reviewing stands or on any street, avenue, alley, or reservation in the Inaugural Area, between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Inauguration Day, shall be under the direct supervision of the Concessions Committee; and shall be subject to conditions and agreements as the Committee may require of persons selling or offering to sell food, drinks, tobacco and the like during this period.

     

    820.3Only items approved by the Concessions Committee and the Director of Environmental Services shall be sold, offered for sale, or distributed.

     

    820.4No milk products or frozen desserts shall be sold, offered for sale, or distributed, unless they have been produced and distributed under permits issued by the Director of Environmental Services.

     

    820.5Fruit, food, lunches, drinks, and similar items shall be sold, offered for sale, or distributed only from a stand or booth properly equipped with the sanitation and safety facilities and devices required by §§ 825 through 830 of this chapter, and operated in accordance with the provisions of §§ 825 through 830.
