Section 25-A1523. FUNCTIONALITY - VENDING MACHINES, AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF

1523.1A machine vending potentially hazardous food (time/temperature control for safety food) shall have an automatic control that prevents the machine from vending food if there is a power failure, mechanical failure, or other condition that results in an internal machine temperature that cannot maintain food temperatures as specified in Chapters 6 through 13 P , and until the machine is serviced and restocked with food that has been maintained at temperatures specified in Chapters 6 through 13. P
1523.2When the automatic shutoff within a machine vending potentially hazardous food (time/temperature control for safety food) is activated:
(a)In a refrigerated vending machine, the ambient air temperature may not exceed five degrees Celsius (5o C) (forty-one degrees Fahrenheit (41o F)) for more than thirty (30) minutes immediately after the machine is filled, serviced, or restocked; P or
(b)In a hot holding vending machine, the ambient air temperature may not be less than fifty-seven degrees Celsius (57o C) (one hundred thirty-five degrees Fahrenheit (135o F)) for more than one hundred twenty (120) minutes immediately after the machine is filled, serviced, or restocked. P
