Section 25-B1807. CLEANABILITY AND EXPOSURE - WALLS AND CEILINGS, ATTACHMENTS, STUDS, JOISTS, AND RAFTERS

1807.1Except as specified in section 1807.2, attachments to walls and ceilings such as light fixtures, mechanical room ventilation system components, vent covers, wall mounted fans, decorative items, and other attachments shall be easily cleanable.

1807.2In public areas, wall and ceiling surfaces and decorative items and attachments that are provided for ambiance need not meet the requirements of section 1807.1 if they are kept clean.

1807.3Studs, joists, and rafters shall not be exposed in areas subject to moisture.
