Section 25-B2003. PHYSICAL FACILITIES- CLEANING FLOORS, DUSTLESS METHODS

    2003.1Except as provided in section 2003.2, only dustless methods of cleaning shall be used, such as wet cleaning, vacuum cleaning, mopping with treated dust mops or sweeping using a broom and dust-arresting compounds. If mops or similar wet floor cleaning tools are used, at least one (1) service sink or one (1) curbed cleaning facility equipped with a floor drain and supplied with hot and cold water under pressure shall be provided and conveniently located.

     

    2003.2Spills or drippage on floors that occur between normal floor cleaning times may be cleaned:

     

    (a)Without the use of dust-arresting compounds; and

     

    (b)In the case of liquid spills or drippage, with the use of a small amount of absorbent compound, such as sawdust or diatomaceous earth, applied immediately before spot cleaning.
