Section 26-A3600. APPLICABILITY

 

3600.1These regulations shall apply to the treatment of nonpublic personal information about individuals who obtain products or services from licensees primarily for personal, family, or household purposes.

 

3600.2These regulations shall not apply to information about companies or individuals who obtain products or services for business, commercial, or agricultural purposes.

 

3600.3These regulations shall not apply to the treatment of nonpublic personal health information about individuals who obtain products or services from licensees.

 

3600.4A licensee domiciled in the District of Columbia that is in compliance with this regulation in a jurisdiction that has not enacted laws or regulations that meet the requirements of Title V of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (PL 102-106) may nonetheless be deemed to be in compliance with Title V of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act in the other jurisdiction.

 

3600.5The examples in this regulation are not exclusive. Compliance with an example or use of a sample clause, to the extent applicable, constitutes compliance with this regulation.
