Section 26-C203. APPLICATIONS BY PERSONS, AND REGIONAL BANK HOLDING COMPANIES

    203.1Any person or Regional bank holding company wishing to acquire, pursuant to D.C. Official Code §§ 26-701, et seq., a District bank or District bank holding company shall file with the Commissioner an application on Form 3, incorporated into these rules by reference, and obtain a recommendation of the Commissioner and approval of the Council before consummating the acquisition.

     

    203.2The Commissioner's recommendation shall be obtained before any action by the Council, and is in addition to any approvals required by federal law.

     

    203.3Any District bank or District bank holding company applying to acquire, pursuant to a state statute that is comparable to D.C. Official Code § 26-702, a bank or bank holding company located outside the District shall file with the Commissioner Form 4, incorporated into these rules by reference, for information only.

     

    203.4This application shall be in addition to the application required by section 201 of these rules.  If a charter application is required, this application shall be in addition to the charter application.
