Section 29-1100. ESTABLISHMENT

    1100.1 The Office of Energy shall administer the Complementary Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) which provides energy assistance Grants to needy households referred by the Vocational Rehabilitation Program, the Subsidized Adoption Program, the Foster Care Program, and the Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) Program who meet the requirements as set forth in §§ 1101.1 and 1101.2 of this chapter.

     

    1100.2 In addition, any needy District resident may receive an energy assistance grant who also meets the requirements as set forth in §§ 1101.1 and 1101.2 of this chapter.

     

    1100.3 This assistance shall be in the form of cash payments to assist such recipients with household energy and utility costs. Recipients shall be held harmless against any other forms of energy assistance he/she may receive from other public or private sources.

     

    1100.4 This assistance shall not duplicate any assistance paid by the D.C. Department of Human Services in its capacity as the State Agency.
