Section 29-1616. STUDENT FIELD PLACEMENTS/INTERNSHIPS

    1616.1 Each child-placing agency which accepts students as interns for field placements shall:

     

    (a) Develop a written plan describing their tasks and functions;

     

    (b) Provide a copy of the plan to each student and his or her school;

     

    (c) Require personal references and a criminal records and child abuse clearance;

     

    (d) Designate a staff member to supervise and evaluate the students; and

     

    (e) Develop a plan for orientation and training of students in the philosophy of the agency, needs of the children in care, and of their families.

     

    1616.2 A student shall not assume the responsibilities of any paid staff member.
