Section 29-1640. NOTIFICATION REGARDING APPLICATION

    1640.1 The agency shall notify each applicant of its decision to accept or deny his or her application to be a foster parent within thirty (30) days of its receipt.

     

    1640.2 A foster home shall be re-evaluated two (2) years after the date of the initial approval and every two (2) years thereafter.

     

    1640.3 If the initial foster home study was performed by the same child-placing agency, the foster home re-evaluation shall include:

     

    (a) One visit to the home;

     

    (b) Face-to-face interviews with each member of the household;

     

    (c) Updated medical reports on all members of the household; and

     

    (d) Any changes from the initial foster home study.

     

    1640.4 If the initial foster home study was performed by a different child-placing agency, the child-placing agency’s re-evaluation shall include the following:

     

    (a) Two visits with the foster parent(s), one of which shall be in the home;

     

    (b) Face-to-face interviews with each member of the household;

     

    (c) Updated medical reports on the members of the household; and

     

    (d) Any changes in the family’s data from the initial home study.
