Section 29-2535. THE DEPARTMENT’S PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING INITIATIVE – PURPOSE AND SCOPE

    2535.1The purpose of the Department’s Permanent Supportive Housing Program (PSH Program) is to provide a compassionate and cost effective strategy to solve homelessness for the hardest to serve and most vulnerable individuals and families, living either on the street or in a shelter, using a Housing First model. 

     

    2535.2The PSH Program consists of an assessment of vulnerability, unit identification assistance, housing subsidy, participant housing cost contribution, needs assessment, and case management.  

     

    2535.3Unless provided otherwise in sections 2535 through 2542, the PSH Program shall be administered in accordance with the provisions of the shelter and supportive housing regulations found elsewhere in this chapter. 

     

    2535.4The PSH Program shall be subject to annual appropriations and the availability of funds.

     

    2535.5Nothing in these rules shall be construed to create an entitlement either direct or implied on the part of any individual or family to the PSH Program.
