Section 29-2700. MEDICAID PHARMACY SERVICES GENERAL PROVISIONS

  • 2700.1     The District of Columbia Medicaid Program shall provide reimbursement for covered outpatient drugs dispensed by a licensed provider within the scope of his or her license and practice in accordance with federal, District, and state law and rules and Section 1927 of the Social Security Act.[42 U.S.C. 1396r-8].

    2700.2These rules shall govern the determination of reimbursement costs to pharmacies, including nursing home pharmacy providers, by the D.C. Medicaid Program and the methodology for determining prescription reimbursements for prescribed multiple source drugs and other drugs provided to eligible Medicaid recipients. These rules also set forth the requirements governing the pharmacy lock-in program and provider participation requirements.
