Section 29-551. INTER-FACILITY TRANSPORTATION OF PATIENTS WHERE THE POINT OF ORIGIN IS IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

551.1A patient who is transported by ambulance between facilities, where the point of origin is within the District of Columbia, shall only be transported by a certified District of Columbia Emergency Medical Services Agency ambulance except when the transporting agency has been requested through a mutual aid agreement or memorandum of understanding by the Department of Health.
551.2A transporting agency that is not District-certified shall adhere to the protocols of its local jurisdiction unless otherwise specified through a mutual aid agreement or memorandum of understanding.
551.3Patients shall be transported to the appropriate heath care facility as outlined in the agency’s protocol.
