Section 29-5830. SANCTIONS IN THE POWER PROGRAM

5830.1Each POWER recipient who, without good cause, fails to assist in the development of his or her plan of self-sufficiency or to comply with the terms contained in that plan shall be subject to sanctions by DHS, as set forth in subsections 5812.2 and 5812.3.
5830.2For the purposes of section 575 of the District of Columbia Public Assistance Act of 1982, as amended, other factors to be considered when the head of the assistance unit's incapacity no longer substantially precludes the head of assistance unit's ability to work or to participate in job search or job readiness activities shall include, but not be limited, to:
(a)Education;
(b)Work Experience; and
(c)Age.
