Section 29-6313. OWNERSHIP

6313.1An independent living program may be publicly or privately owned or operated, for profit, or not for profit.

6313.2An independent living program owned or operated by a corporation shall maintain its corporate status in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia.

6313.3If a corporation is not organized and empowered solely for the purpose of operating and maintaining an independent living program, the charter of the corporation shall provide for the operation of an independent living program in its statement of purpose.
