Chapter 29-63. LICENSING OF INDEPENDENT LIVING PROGRAMS FOR ADOLESCENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS |
Section 29-6335. EMERGENCY PLAN

6335.1An independent living program shall develop and follow a plan for responding to emergencies, including medical emergencies, fire, power outage, severe weather conditions, imminent risks to a resident's physical safety, imminent risk that a resident will harm her or himself or another, and staffing problems.
6335.2The plan required by § 6335.1 shall include:
(a)Individual staff member duties;
(b)Staff awareness of the specific medical needs of all residents;
(c)Current emergency telephone numbers for fire, emergency medical services, police, poison control, and security services;
(d)Procedures for notifying the entities listed in § 6335.2(c);
(e)Evacuation routes and procedures, with clearly marked diagrams; and
(f)Procedures for notifying CFSA and the contracting entity.
6335.3One (1) staff member shall be assigned responsibility for coordinating the planning and procedures for meeting potential emergencies.
6335.4An independent living program shall conspicuously post the emergency plan at suitable locations throughout the main facility and place a copy in each resident handbook.
