Section 3-1900. GENERAL PROVISIONS

    1900.1In accordance with the provisions of the D.C. Self-Government Act, the Council of the District of Columbia may, by Resolution, call a special election to present for an advisory referendum vote of the people any proposition upon which the Council desires to take action.

     

    1900.2The District of Columbia Board of Elections and Ethics shall be authorized to promulgate rules and regulations for the implementation and conduct of elections for advisory referendum votes, pursuant to D.C. Official Code § 1-1001.05(a)(14) (2006 Repl.).

     

    1900.3Any political committee organized in support of, or in opposition to, any advisory referendum presented to voters shall file a verified statement of contributions with the Office of Campaign Finance.
