Section 30-2006. MBOC REVIEW OF PROCUREMENTS

    2006.1If the contracting officer is unable to make a determination of the availability of prospective certified minority contractors under §2005.4, the contracting officer may request the assistance of the Minority Business Opportunity Commission (the "MBOC"), in accordance with the provisions of this section.

     

    2006.2When submitting a request for assistance to the MBOC under §2006.1, the contracting officer shall request a recommendation from the MBOC regarding the feasibility of a sheltered market procurement and a list of minority businesses certified in the specific area of the procurement. The contracting officer shall request the MBOC to provide the recommendation and list of eligible minority businesses within ten (10) working days after the request is received.

     

    2006.3If the MBOC has not responded within ten (10) working days after receipt of the request, the contracting officer may proceed with the procurement based on the contracting officer's determination without further notice to the MBOC.
