Section 30-2100. DELEGATION OF CONTRACTING AUTHORITY

    2100.1The Board delegates contracting authority to the Executive Director in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, subject to the requirements of § 2100.5.

     

    2100.2The Executive Director shall be the chief contracting officer for the Agency, and shall be authorized to appoint contracting officers from among the employees of the Agency, in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.

     

    2100.3The Executive Director may delegate all or any part of his or her contracting authority to the Director of Procurement (the "Director") and to each contracting officer appointed under this chapter.

     

    2100.4Each delegation and modification of delegated contracting authority shall be in writing and shall set forth any limitations on the individual contracting officer's authority.

     

    2100.5Each contract in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($ 50,000), including any modification of an existing contract which would increase the value of that contract above this limit, shall be approved by the Board prior to execution. If a contract award is not approved by the Board, the solicitation shall be reissued.
