Section 30-2206. BID SAMPLES

2206.1If the bidder is required to furnish bid samples, this requirement shall be stated in the IFB.

2206.2The contracting officer shall not require bidders to furnish bid samples unless the characteristics of the product cannot be described adequately in the specifications or purchase description.

2206.3Bid samples shall be used only to determine the responsiveness of the bid and shall not be used to determine a bidder's ability to produce the required items.

2206.4The contracting officer shall reject a bid as nonresponsive if the sample fails to conform to each characteristic listed in the IFB.
