Section 31-1200. APPLICATION AND SCOPE

 

1200.1This chapter shall be applicable to and govern all limousine and black car organizations, operators, and vehicles doing business in the District of Columbia (District).

 

1200.2The provisions of this chapter shall be interpreted to comply with the language and intent of the District of Columbia Taxicab Commission Establishment Act of 1985, as amended.

 

1200.3This chapter establishes licensing and operating requirements for luxury class service, comprised of black car service and limousine service.  Additional and more specific operating requirements applicable only to black car service are contained in Chapter 14 of this title.

 

1200.4In the event of a conflict between a provision of this chapter, and another provision of this title or other applicable law, the more restrictive provision shall control.
