Chapter 31-13. LICENSING AND OPERATIONS OF TAXI METER COMPANIES |
Section 31-1303. TAXIMETER BUSINESS LICENSE - BOND REQUIRED

1303.1Each applicant for an initial taximeter business license or renewal license shall deposit with the Commission and shall keep in full force and effect throughout the license period, a bond in the sum of fifty thousand ($50,000) dollars, provided by one or more sureties approved by the Commission.
1303.2Such bond shall be payable to the DC Treasurer and shall be conditioned on the licensee complying with all provisions of this title including, but not limited to, compliance with the Clean Hands Act and payment of any fines or judgments against said licensee by any court or administrative agency, including, but not limited to, the Office of Administrative Hearings for violations of this title.
1303.4This bond shall remain in full force and effect for the term of the taximeter business license, and for one (1) year following the termination, non-renewal, or revocation of any license.
