Section 5-A1600. PURPOSE & SCOPE

1600.1The purpose of this chapter is to specify criteria under which the Office of the State Superintendent (OSSE) shall issue the following:
(a) Teaching credential; and
(b)Administrative Services credential.
1600.2OSSE shall issue a credential to any applicant who meets the criteria in this chapter including the criteria for a specific credential type, the criminal background check requirements described in Section 1606 and the submission of required application fees described in Section 1608.
1600.3All credentials that are in effect as of the effective date of this rulemaking shall remain in effect until the date of their expiration.
