Section 5-A8127. AGENT'S SURETY

    8127.1The Commission shall not issue or review an agent's license until the applicant for the license has filed with the Commission a corporate surety bond or other security approved by the Commission.

     

    8127.2The surety bond shall be payable to the Commission.

     

    8127.3A student, or the student's parent or guardian, who is aggrieved by a violation of this chapter by an agent shall have a right of action on the bond for the recovery of money, or damages, or both.

     

    8127.4The amount of bond required to be filed under this section shall be twenty-five hundred dollars ($2,500).

     

    8127.5A school may file a blanket surety bond for all its authorized agents in an amount to be determined by the Commission, but in no case greater than fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000).
