Section 5-E3000. SPECIAL EDUCATION POLICY

3000.1All local education agencies (LEA) in the District of Columbia shall ensure, pursuant to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), that all children with disabilities, ages three to twenty-two, who are residents or wards of the District of Columbia, have available to them a free appropriate public education (FAPE) and that the rights of these children and their parents are protected.
