Section 6-B2213. ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT UNDER DCEGLI

    2213.1Each employee who has basic insurance shall also have coverage for accidental death and dismemberment.

     

    2213.2Each employee who elects Option A - Standard optional insurance coverage described in § 2210.1 shall also have additional coverage of $ 10,000 for accidental death and dismemberment.

     

    2213.3Each employee who elects Option A - Standard optional insurance coverage described in Subsection 2210.1 of this chapter shall also have additional coverage of $10,000 for accidental death and dismemberment.

     

    2213.4Accidental dismemberment benefits shall be payable only upon the losses stated in the following schedule. The benefits are subject to the conditions and limitations approved by the Director of the DCHR, which are contained in the policy purchased by the DCHR, the amount of this benefit shall depend on the amount for which the employee is insured on the date the accident occurs and the extent of the loss according to the following schedule.
