Section 6-B1282. VOLUNTARY LEAVE TRANSFER PROGRAM

1282.1District government employees are covered by the provisions of D.C. Official Code § 1-612.31 et seq. (2006) establishing the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program for the District government.
1282.2In accordance with D.C. Official Code § 1-612.32 (a) (2006), each District government agency shall establish a voluntary leave transfer program for its employees, under which annual or universal leave accrued or accumulated by an employee may be transferred on an hour-for-hour basis within the agency to the annual or universal leave account of any other eligible agency employee.
1282.3In accordance with D.C. Official Code § 1-612.32 (b) (2006), a voluntary transfer of leave is authorized when a potential recipient employee will suffer a prolonged absence due to:
(a)The employee’s serious health condition; or
(b)The employee’s responsibility to provide personal care to an immediate relative.
