Section 6-B443. DRIVERS OF COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLES

443.1Pursuant to Section 2011 of the District of Columbia Government Comprehensive Merit Personnel Act of 1978 (CMPA), effective March 3, 1979 (D.C. Law 2-139; D.C. Official Code § 1-620.11 (2014 Repl.)), the federal regulations issued pursuant to 49 U.S.C. § 31306 (currently, 49 C.F.R. Parts 382-385) shall apply to individuals who are employed, or who are candidates for employment, as drivers of commercial motor vehicles.

 

443.2The provisions of Subsection 443.1, and the regulations incorporated by reference therein, shall apply to agencies under the personnel authority of the Mayor and other personnel authorities, and to individuals who are employed by or who are candidates for employment in those agencies and personnel authorities as drivers of commercial motor vehicles.
